OYS APPOINT NEW CHIEF DESIGNER

OYS are pleased to announce the appointment of Ywain ap Rhys as the company's new Chief Designer.

Ywain will be responsible for the Development of new marine rigging applications. He will also manage the OYS drawing office and be responsible for the provision of engineering and technical data to all live projects.

As head of the OYS Engineering Department, Ywain is tasked with streamlining processes and improving efficiency within the department generally. In addition, he will work closely with customers to develop leading edge solutions to increasingly demanding rigging applications.

Ywain has extensive experience of Design, Production, Project Management and Sales within the Marine Industry. He has formerly held positions at Formula Yacht Spars and Hood Yacht Spars.

Ywain has developed a number of key designs from concept to production and has the necessary capabilities to take OYS to the next level of design and development. His extensive composites experience will be of great benefit to OYS and it's customers, as product development gathers pace.

This appointment signals a significant change of emphasis within the company, with a structured focus on Design management, to ensure that OYS continues to develop it's position as the premier supplier to it?s chosen markets.

Ywain will report directly to Mike Orange, OYS Technical Director. They will collaborate on future bespoke Superyacht and Race Boat projects, giving OYS customers the advantage of some of the best technical experience in the business, backed by solid, committed, overall organisation.
