OYS confident after METS

Ocean Yacht Systems (OYS) can look to 2012 confidently as this year comes to a close following on from two busy exhibitions which has bought a number of enquiries and orders, both in the business to business and the Superyacht sectors.

On display METS were two 48hp swing thruster units and one fixed tunnel 85hp thruster unit which form part of the OYS Thruster range brand.  OYS established a name for themselves as a key manufacturer in the rod rigging market, progressing into Kevlar and PBO rigging and in the last 6 years have diversified into thrusters, hydraulics and propulsion solutions.

The product range of OYS has diversified over the years for two reasons, firstly to reflect the marketplace and secondly to use the strengths from within the company to explore new business opportunities and broaden the product portfolio without diluting the OYS brand.

“METS is always a good guide for where the industry is for us at the moment,” comments Mark Barwell Sales Director for OYS. “We had some very positive meetings at METS about exciting new projects which will continue to see OYS at the forefront of producing custom designed and manufactured solutions.”
