OYS supply to finalists in the World Superyacht Awards

Ocean Yacht Systems (OYS) was delighted to hear the news that four of its customers have been nominated as finalists as part of the 2012 World Superyacht Awards.

In the 40m+ sailing yacht category the 56m Perini Navi Fidelis is equipped with OYS rigging and hydraulic sail control cylinders. Hetairos, the innovative 66m  Baltic Yacht has also been nominated with her unique OYS retractable propulsion system and finally the beautifully 67m Alloy yachts built Vertigo has been nominated with her custom OYS carbon fibre vang cylinder. In the 30m to 40m category Antares III, designed by Bill Dixon and built by Yachting Developments Ltd, has a superlight OYS vertical retracting bow thruster and a swing retracting stern thruster, custom designed for her unique requirements.

When any superyacht reaches the final in such a prestigious award, it marks recognition for the designers, builders and the suppliers in what they have achieved.  For OYS this is an acknowledgement of the success of the changes the company has made over the last 5 years. OYS have extended their company offerings beyond Rod (Nitronic 50 Steel), Kevlar and alternative lightweight composites rigging to designing, engineering and manufacturing thrusters, hydraulics and complete propulsion systems for the superyacht marketplace.
